Ubisoft has released the first details on their upcoming season of The Division 2, which is due to start in February 2019. Hidden Alliance will include a new manhunt system that allows players to encounter and search for targets independently of other gamers, an improved loot drop experience as well as more story missions and side activities.
The Division 2’s upcoming season will be tailor-made for your unique tastes if you wish to embark on the quest for a target, a “manhunt” if you will. The game’s manhunt system is being fine-tuned as you track down and eliminate certain targets, including letting the lieutenants you’ll be following down to assume command of the field in select primary missions. That should shake things up and offer you even more motivation to take them out, with the team believing that this new strategy would enable them to produce intriguing material more rapidly and flexibly.
With the new season, there’s also a plot to go through, and it’s being presented in a new, more cinematic format to make it simpler for players to follow events as they occur. As a result, Hidden Alliance begins with a cinematic flashback that explains where the plot is currently and shows how people respond to new events, before allowing players to wander more naturally and obtain story-related artifacts in response to new developments.
