Rocket League is a lot of fun, but it’s also a lot of work. Players have noticed that their friends are playing on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, while they are stuck on the PC version. This has led to some confusion and frustration, and a number of Rocket League players are wondering what the status of the cross-platform functionality is.

We here at Geeks Playing Games are proud to be supporting Rocket League cross platform on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It has been a joint effort between the Rocket League developers and us here at Geeks Playing Games. Rocket League is soon to be released on Nintendo Switch and there is a possibility to port Rocket League to the Nintendo Switch as well. “Rocket League” is a first-person sports video game, where players drive cars with rocket-powered engines around a soccer field with the aim of scoring goals.

Rocket League, the great and wonderful game by Psyonix, has proved to be surprisingly popular since its release last July. The ballooning popularity of the game has led to the development of PC and Mac versions, as well as a host of other versions for mobile platforms. However, the mobile versions of Rocket League are still cross-platform only, meaning players on Android and iOS cannot play with players on Apple TV or Xbox One, or vice versa. Rocket League’s mobile version is not the only cross-platform title to face this issue, but it’s a bad omen for indie games trying to break into a more mainstream market.
